I was looking for “care instructions” and didn’t see any in my shipment, but I am interested in how to care for/clean these properly when they get dirty. Not sure what they’re made of but they feel like very soft/pliable but thick and sturdy cotton material. So these things fit pretty snug, but was able to button the top and bottom of each spat. I thought these would be totally Velcro fastening with all “mock buttons” on the outside, but was surprised to see that you have to fasten the top button and the lower-most button like normal buttons, and then everything inbetween is Velcro fastening w/ mock buttons on the outside. All the spats fit very well and had a good fit to the top of my shoe and around my lower calf. My actual men’s shoe size is a 10 or 10 1/2. I ordered 2 pair of the size 10 regular spats. These are the real deal - top notch - great looking And the elastic ripped off the very first time I tried them on. Ordered the size 14 and could barely get them over my shoes. Very pleased with the fabric and the form fitting style, they wrap around the ankle and maintain their ahape Dyed them in tea for a historical impression and looking forward to wearing them Saturday.
